This is a site about my trials with beauty products (I am obsessed) in order to control my eczema. Some days I am happy. My skin is glowing. Other days I am miserable. My skin is either weeping or on fire.
Eczema is a tough condition for many people. Each person who has it suffers in different ways. My biggest problem is the flaking and itchy redness - it’s just gross! And frustrating. Over time however, I realize the flaking is usually a step above the inflamed itchy rash I get. It means my skin is healing. I am listing products below to help me see what works for MY skin and have a list that could maybe lead me to finding out why my skin behaves the way it does. I realize each of us have different skin issues when it comes to eczema so please know that what works for me may not work for you.
To note-my face is a lot LESS sensitive than my body. My eczema is at its worst above my ribcage – it’s all over. My arms, my neck, my chest, my back. My ears are bad too. My face for some reason is not so bad (but it is there). My legs are clear. No clue why the hidden part has the least problem -but at least my face is not as bad as the rest. My hands can get awful too -but most people with eczema suffer here mostly due to frequent hand washing.
I finally decided it was time to keep a journal. I am in my mid 20s and I have suffered since I was a child. Having eczema is frustrating and what is more frustrating is the lack of information out there. I am not a child. I am an adult who suffers. There needs to be more out there for adults! Not steroids and not medicines that do not help. So here is my blog for you to read and get information out of. Feel free to comment and tell me your advice.
Try organic 100% coconut oil. Its solid at room temp but you smooth it on and it dissolves and just melts into your skin…bung it in the bath, and smear it on your toast. It’s gorgeous stuff, and my skin can’t get enough of it.
